Suboxone is a drug used to control addiction problems. It is a combination of Buprenorphine and Naloxone. The Buprenorphine blocks the receptors for the drugs and can also stimulate the receptors in the brain. Naloxone blocks the release of the opiate receptor that stimulates the release of dopamine in the brain.

This medication is usually administered under a doctor’s prescription. Addiction to the drug is very common, as many people tend to depend on it after continued use. Physical abuse occurs after continual use of the drug leads to brain alteration caused by the effects of the drug. The drug is abused by placing it under the tongue; it dissolves easily in the mucus membrane under the tongue. However, this drug cannot be injected, because it contains Narcan which causes instant opiate withdrawal.
